Adult Chinese Courses
Elementary
Chinese I
This course is suitable for students who have little or no background in Mandarin. Teachers will bring students through the basic foundation of Mandarin, such as pronunciation (Han Yu Pin Yin), grammar, building a vocabulary of 300 words. At the end of Level 1, students should be able to hold a simple daily conversation.
Elementary
Chinese II
Students will have additional progress in vocabulary, increasing it by about 500 words, and thus be able to use effectively a total of 800 vocabularies at the end of Elementary course. Eligible for HSK Basic after Elementary Chinese Course.
Intermediate
Chinese I
The course will equip students with an additional vocabulary of about 800 words and written knowledge of 300 words, thus being able to achieve effective communication for everyday purposes in business and study alike. At the end of this level, it should place you on similar footing with an average Singaporean.
Intermediate
Chinese II
At this level, students will be introduced to a wider and deeper understanding of Mandarin, acquiring adequate skill for fluent conversations and practical usage with a vocabulary of about 900 words. Eligible for HSK Intermediate after Intermediate Chinese Course.
Advanced
Chinese I
The Advanced course is exclusively designed for individuals who are interested to learn Mandarin at a higher level or for professional purposes.
Advanced
Chinese II
This is continuation for those who has completed the level 1 Advanced course, vocabulary of 3000 words and phrases. Student will continue to study Mandarin and the Chinese culture in greater detail and achieve a professional standard of Mandarin. Eligible for HS Advanced after Advanced Chinese Course.
