CHINESE LANGUAGE (PRI 1 TO 6)

2 hours per week

For CL students who wish to focus on reinforcing MOE school syllabus and tackle all components of the CL exams

  • Master content of CL syllabus in school

  • Practise all components of the CL exam, with heavier emphasis on Paper 2

  • Essay & Oral practice once a month

Take this with Chinese Creative Writing & Oral for best results!

    • Aligned with the latest MOE syllabus and exam requirements for Chinese Language

    • Complement students’ learning in school, with a strong emphasis on vocabulary building, word recognition, writing of Chinese characters and sentence construction

    • Systematically acquire 400 – 500 new vocabulary words per year, and be able to read and write them

    • Provide students with a platform to revise, reinforce and apply their knowledge and skills

    • Receive personalised feedback for improvement and acquire examination skills through regular tests, revisions and mock examinations

    • Immerse in Chinese culture through exposure to proverbs, idioms, adages, verses, poetry and prose

    • Lesson components include: Revision and Extension of Knowledge (温故知新), Deep Dive into School Syllabus (学习课文), Vocabulary Acquisition (积少成多), Writing Practice (抄写生字) and various exercises according to the CL Paper 2 Exam format (e.g. Language Use 语文应用, Cloze Passage 短文填充, Complete the Dialogue完成对话 and Comprehension阅读理解)

 

HIGHER CHINESE LANGUAGE (PRI 1 TO 6)

For HCL students who wish to focus on reinforcing MOE school syllabus and tackle all components of the HCL & CL exams

  • Master content of HCL & CL syllabus in school

  • Practise all components of the HCL & CL exams, with heavier emphasis on Paper 2

  • Essay & Oral practice once a month

Take this with Chinese Creative Writing & Oral for best results!

    • Aligned with the latest MOE syllabus and exam requirements for Higher Chinese Language and Chinese Language

    • Complement students’ learning in school, with a strong emphasis on vocabulary building, word recognition, writing of Chinese characters and sentence construction

    • Systematically acquire 500 – 600 new vocabulary words per year, and be able to read and write them

    • Provide students with a platform to revise, reinforce and apply their knowledge and skills

For HCL & CL students who wish to focus on Essay Writing and Stimulus-Based Oral Conversation

  • Learn thematic content, vocabulary and culture beyond the syllabus

  • Practise 1 Essay and 1 Oral Conversation every week

Take this with Chinese Language or Higher Chinese Language for best results!

    • Explore a range of creative approaches to essay writing, using various ideas and writing styles

    • Acquire the ability to plan, organise and translate thoughts into clear and compelling writing

    • Learn to construct good sentences and paragraphs, with proper syntax and rich vocabulary

    • Enrich the compositions and write expressively with literary devices, themed vocabulary, descriptive phrases, idioms, adages, similes, metaphors, analogies, proverbs and other essay-writing tools

    • Practise listening and speaking skills using in-house created audio and video materials

    • Learn to read fluently and express opinions confidently with adept use of vocabulary

    • Hone conversational skills through discussions on themes as outlined in the latest MOE syllabus

 

PSLE CHINESE/HIGHER CHINESE EXAM CRASH COURSE (PRI 6)
小六普通/高级华文会考冲刺班
Only available during March, June, September and December Holidays.

For P6 HCL & CL students who need an intensive and exam-focused revision for all components of the PSLE

    • Cover all major components of the PSLE Higher Chinese / Chinese exam in this intensive course
